Positive: Gorgeous boutique accomodation on the Shaftesbury Estate. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, and well equipped accommodation, and an exceptionally comfortable bed... the best bed in the last 8 weeks on holiday! It was peaceful and quiet and was a nice change from the Dorset Coast. *The negatives below are trivial compared to the overall experience of staying in the Scullery.*
Negative: There was not enough practical lighting. The emphasis was on mood lighting, which was done well. There was comfortable seating in the 'sitting room' for 3 people, but the cottage can accommodate 4. We had to bring a dining chair into the sitting room for the 4th person. The open-plan bedroom/bathroom layout suits those who don't like to ablute in privacy. I would have liked at least a screen between the toilet and the bed.
Summary: Beautiful boutique accommodation in a special setting.
